AFL Development Programs in Indonesia
Our program will bring volunteers to Bali to conduct sporting programs in Denpasar and rural Bali. This program will be an ongoing project aimed at developing strong people-to-people cultural links.
From the 7th of January to the 6th of April 2018 Via Sport ran its first 'Sports Diplomacy through AFL NINES' workshop in Denpasar, Bali, effectively contributing to the Australian Government Sports Diplomacy Strategy 2015-2018.
Sporting Infrastructure Program in India
Our second program is still in its pilot stage. We aim to play an instrumental role in establishing institutional links between Australia and India so that Australian and international sporting expertise can be shared with Indian sporting organisations .
Via Sport piloting its 'Sports Diplomacy Through AFL 9s' program at St. Columba School for Girls and Dr. Antonio Da Silva High School in Mumbai, India. The program was supported by the Australian Consulate-General, Mumbai, AFL India and the Australia India Institute from the University of Melbourne.
